About the Job
The Regional Engineering Manager position is a critical role in achieving leading performance in planning and execution of capital projects, maintenance, and engineering activities. This involves deploying efficient processes, managing the regional Capex portfolio, allocating resources effectively, embedding safety and integration, and adopting standardized tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Regional Manufacturing Director in managing the CAPEX projects portfolio of the region.
- Directly managing Regional Project Managers, ensuring effective team and individual communication, recognizing and promoting achievements.
- Functionally coaching reports on Front End project activities.
- Guiding the SRE/SE & Engineering community networks of the region, ensuring periodic team and individual communication to share business information and functional best practices or challenges.
- Managing the regional Preferred Engineering company, reviewing resources performance and future needs (workload, capabilities, locations).
- Contributing to the development of the ISC-Manufacturing functional excellence strategy, ensuring alignment and feedback to relevant capex portfolio management and resourcing plans.
About You
We're looking for a seasoned professional with:
- 10+ years of experience in Operations & Capital Project/Portfolio Management.
- A proven track record of leading multiple major capex projects involving multiple functions and sites.
- Experience managing EPC(M) engineering partners across a range of projects.
- Technical and scientific understanding (MEng level) in engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and drive multi-disciplinary projects and teams with members having both direct and no direct accountability.
- People management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both with specialists and main stakeholders.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
