Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Material Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of materials to our wind turbine construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for materials required at wind turbine construction sites, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to meet project deadlines.
- Develop and maintain accurate material orders in SAP, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Monitor and manage material deliveries, proactively addressing any potential bottlenecks or delays to ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Collaborate with the service department to coordinate activities and ensure seamless material flow.
- Identify and source local spare parts, working closely with suppliers to meet project requirements.
- Analyze and optimize inventory levels, considering exchange groups, variants, and historical consumption patterns to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Work closely with relevant departments to resolve operational and process issues, implementing improvements to enhance material management processes.
- Develop project-specific material management plans, ensuring that all necessary materials are procured and delivered on time.
- Participate in material coordination meetings, providing updates and insights to stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and improve material management processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.
Requirements:
- Degree in industrial engineering, logistics, mechanical engineering, business administration, or similar field, or relevant commercial/technical training.
- Several years of experience in material procurement or management, with a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in SAP MM and MS Office, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Independent, structured, and goal-oriented work approach, with a respectful and professional demeanor.
