Purpose of Role:
The Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is a key member of the Capital Projects Department, responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control (E&I&C) Engineering across various project phases, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage E&I&C disciplines for capital projects, including scope, cost, design, schedule, vendor coordination, installation, and commissioning.
- Provide automation and process control expertise, enhancing the company's Synertrex platform and acting as Synertrex Champion.
- Serve as discipline lead engineer in international projects, managing budget, quality, and schedule for E&I&C disciplines.
- Select and specify equipment for electrical infrastructure and field instrumentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Define control philosophies, SCADA configuration, and control functional specifications.
- Represent the company in customer inquiries related to E&I engineering and lead contractors and suppliers.
- Support project managers in customer/vendor meetings, risk analysis, HAZOP meetings, and ensure health, safety, and IP policy adherence.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline, with extensive experience as a Design, Service, or Maintenance E&I or Automation Engineer.
Core Competencies:
- Proficient in diverse design and processing software for visualizing 3D layouts or flowsheets.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills across all business levels.
- High level of personal integrity to protect company IP.
- Excellent English language skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement and willingness to travel.
