Waste Water Treatment EHS Specialist

Job Summary

International Flavors & Fragrances is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer for its Waste Water Treatment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment plant, as well as maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze wastewater treatment plant data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement procedures for environmental operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the proper planning and execution of production activities.
• Provide training to wastewater treatment personnel on technical, safety, quality, and environmental issues.
• Participate in incident investigations and emergency response activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
• Risk prevention basic degree (50 hours).
• Fluent English and Spanish language skills.
• Trained on ISO management systems (9000, 14000, 45000) and environmental legal requirements.
• Experience in emergency evacuation procedures, training, and practice drills.
• ISO internal auditor certification.
