About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Mission Critical Facilities team at Royal HaskoningDHV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical work packages in multiple projects, identifying scope, design, and management objectives, and ensuring the quality and flow of information required for contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver mechanical work packages in multiple projects
  • Identify scope, design, and management objectives and deliver project documentation
  • Write technical specifications and reports
  • Assist the project manager in the preparation/review of project costs and risk assessments
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships
  • Review contractor pre-qualifications and prepared tender evaluation summaries for tender reviews
  • Evaluate proposals and recommendations to the client regarding vendor selection
  • Write technical specifications for tenders
  • Represent RHDHV on factory acceptance tests and site testing & commissioning activities
  • Communicate the status of projects to internal directors and external stakeholders on an ad-hoc and formal basis
About You

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented individual with a positive and flexible attitude. You should have a bachelor's and/or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant working experience in mechanical design and/or installation. You should also have good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry and a good understanding of the daily operational business of our clients.
