As a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers, you'll have a direct impact in helping them gain the most value from cloud technology. You'll craft and execute strategies to drive their adoption and use of AWS services, providing advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices. This role requires someone who is passionate about cloud computing, with experience in operational parameters and troubleshooting for multiple components such as compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to partner with some of the most iconic businesses in EMEA, ranging from rising startups to large enterprises going through significant transformation. As an AWS Technical Account Manager, you'll provide advice on architecture, support strategy, project, and launch planning as well as ongoing operational issues. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity. You'll develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • You'll build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer.
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.

  • Using your technical acumen and customer obsession, you'll drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
  • Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives.
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
  • With a bias for action, you'll proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
  • Solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud.
  • Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and other enablement sessions.
Qualifications
  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of the following: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Experience in technical engineering.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings, as well as experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
