Job Description
An onsite search expert focuses on making a website search engine friendly by adjusting certain elements. This role aims to improve rankings through changes that can be made to a website. The goal is to get customers the products they want quickly.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create a robust on-site search strategy for digital direct business.
- Own on-site search regionally, contributing to company-wide knowledge by sharing best practices with stakeholders.
- Ensure best relevancy for on-site searches.
- Continuously increase click-through rate and conversion rate for keywords being searched on site stores.
- Optimize search bar results (pinning, boosts, etc.).
- Optimize search result page dash facet optimization, product spotlights, category links, promotion banners, campaigns, etc.
- Work together with e-commerce merchandising team on a roadmap and create execute optimization activities.
- Perform keyword search in coordination with business objectives to optimize existing on-site search experience and define new opportunities.
- Address pain points for search keywords and improve relevancy/result accordingly.
- Quality control dash making sure for best relevancy and end-to-end experience (audit and analyze).
- Provide feedback to merchandising team on performance of keywords and recommend plans to improve click-through rate of low performing keywords.
- Minimize search result pages with 0 results to avoid exits from online stores.
- Communicate performance and initiative status to stakeholders in monthly business reviews.
- Stay on top of trends related to search and on-site search optimization and leverage applicable practices to fuel growth in online store ecosystem.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience needed.
- SQL or HTML certification required.
- Data Analytics + Campaign management knowledge + Data Obsession.
- SQL Knowledge, web analytics (HTML).
