About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Accounting Officer to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our expert team, you will be responsible for delivering world-class accounting solutions to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with our OPS team to gain in-depth knowledge of portfolio accounting principles and practices;
  • Gaining expertise in relevant software and our internal accounting platform to ensure accurate output;
  • Processing all life cycle events of our engagements;
  • Creating, reviewing, and distributing reconciliations and customized periodic reporting to senior management;
  • Updating client portfolios and other vendor data jointly with senior management;
  • Overseeing data flow and comparison between systems to validate accuracy;
  • Liaising and cooperating with internal account management teams to ensure timely response to senior management inquiries;
  • Effectively interacting with internal parties, including Compliance and Finance teams;
  • Taking part in analysis and supervision of profitability, product/client mix, WIP, cost structure, etc. along with senior management.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong academic background, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Audit;
  • Up to 3 years relevant experience within the fields of accounting or audit;
  • A high level of IT literacy with strong Excel and Word skills;
  • An English language proficiency of B2 or higher;
  • Knowledge of main accounting software/ERPs;
  • High analytical skills;
  • Good communication skills, proactive, organized, and flexible;
  • The ability to work independently using your own initiative when appropriate;
  • Ambition with a high level of energy and commitment;
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines.
