Dow Jones, a leading provider of risk management and regulatory compliance solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Research Editor to join its team. As a Research Editor, you will play a critical role in researching, recording, and updating details relating to individuals and entities listed on Sanctions & Other Official Lists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of publicly available sources, as well as Dow Jones' own products and directories, to create, update, and quality check information on individuals and entities cited on Special Lists.
- Extract and maintain relevant data, adhering to team guidelines, to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Respond to clients' questions about Special Lists content in a clear and concise manner.
- Monitor changes in sanctions, counter-terrorism financing, and anti-money laundering regulations to stay up-to-date on industry developments.
- Write Due Diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required and contribute to other projects.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English is essential, with any other language (such as Turkish or German) being an advantage.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills are required to produce high-quality content.
- Proofreading skills and experience handling large volumes of information are necessary to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills are essential to navigate complex research tasks.
- A reliable and responsible attitude is required to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
- An openness to different views and appreciation of team diversity are essential to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines is critical to success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the global Sanctions landscape and its complexities.
- Automation skills, such as advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros/VBA programming, Python, HTML, and/or SQL, are highly desirable.
- Education to degree level or relevant experience is required to demonstrate expertise in research and analysis.
