Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Packaging Operations Manager to join our team at SanLucar Fruit. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the packaging process, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.

In this role, you will act as a liaison between planners, coordinators, back office staff, and other departments to guarantee smooth operations. You will also define business models with material distributors, close legal agreements, and implement improvements in sourcing packaging elements and operations with suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the internal organization of the team of coordinators, defining responsibilities, detecting workloads, and proposing solutions.
  • Acting as a link between planner, coordinators, back office, the packaging director, and other departments.
  • Defining business models with material distributors and closing legal agreements.
  • Finding and implementing improvements in the sourcing of packaging elements/operations with fruit/packaging suppliers.
  • Participating in one-off company projects involving the PBO team of assigned products.
  • Working in team development by managing new hires, scholarship holders, and handling performance management.
  • Setting objectives and monitoring their achievements, establishing shifts and holidays, and ensuring motivation and team spirit.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Studies in Product Engineering, Business Administration, or similar
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; German would be a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position with team leader experience
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to adapt to unforeseen changes, and strong process management skills

The estimated salary for this position is around $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
