Job DescriptionThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our Platform tribe as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). In this role, you will combine your expertise in software development, infrastructure operations, and business skills to ensure the smooth operation of our large-scale, fault-tolerant platform. Your focus will be on delivering high uptime, low latency, and rapid product innovations while working closely with our engineering and business teams.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure the availability and performance of mission-critical services, building automation to prevent problem recurrence.
- Improve the lead time of Engineers at Preply by streamlining processes and enhancing collaboration.
- Enhance the system's scalability, observability, and alerting capabilities.
- Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product teams to help them tackle technical issues and design new systems.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Expertise in problem-solving and analyzing high-loaded systems.
- Proficiency with production troubleshooting and business-orientation.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, or similar technologies.
- Experience with AWS or any other cloud provider.
- Understanding of Networking: network topologies and common network protocols and services.
- Experience coding in one or more programming languages, with knowledge of modern web frameworks a plus.
- Minimum B2 English level for strong communication skills.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
