RavenPack is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our Development Team. As a DBA, you will be responsible for managing our multi-terabyte system, ensuring 99.99% uptime, and optimizing queries to maintain data consistency.
You will work closely with our international team of developers to design and implement database solutions using Oracle, Amazon Web Services, and other cloud technologies. Your main responsibility will be to apply best practices to ensure our databases are operational, reliable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating new database technologies and integrating them into our system
- Analyzing and optimizing queries for improvements with Oracle
- Creating and managing data backups
- Participating in on-call rotation shifts
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Linux DBA with large amounts of data in the cloud or equivalent experience
- Excellent skills as a DBA, including ETL, backup, and restore
- Knowledge of relational OLTP and OLAP database technologies
- Oracle experience administrating, configuring, and analyzing queries for improvements
