Job Title: Data and Analytics Specialist

UNICEF is seeking a highly skilled Data and Analytics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining data quality in our CRM system, analyzing data to identify trends, and providing stakeholders and management with easy-to-understand graphs, charts, tables, and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct systematic and regular data cleansing and mapping of UNISON data; import and export large volumes of data; and analyze fields featured and propose clean-up and efficiencies.
  • Assess process flows and support the creation of data linkages across UNICEF systems.
  • Create and refine reports and dashboards to meet operational requirements and to gauge and improve the quality of data on UNISON.
  • Provide input to the planning, development, testing, and global roll-out of enhancements on the CRM for multiple user groups.
  • Assess business user data and reporting needs and coordinate with technical teams to inform and shape technical solutions as needed.
  • Facilitate UNISON adoption and usage.
  • Monitor and measure progress of UNISON objectives.
Requirements:
  • An advanced University degree in one of the following fields: data analytics, management information systems, statistics, computer science, business administration, information technology management, or other related social science fields.
  • Alternatively, a first-level university degree in combination with two years of additional work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
  • Advanced Salesforce training and/or certificates is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in data cleaning and preparation; data analysis and exploration, including statistical methods and using statistical software; familiarity with data analysis languages such as SQL, Python, or R; database management; creating dashboards and reports; proficiency with data visualization tools in a large international organization and/or institution with public and private sector fundraising domain is required.
  • Proven experience at the professional level in a Data Analyst function is required.
  • Experience with web/mobile solutions, data management, and business intelligence solutions is required.
  • Experience with agile project management and front-end transactional platforms is an asset, with non-profit or commercial marketing.
  • Experience working in fundraising with partnerships is an asset.
  • Experience working with SharePoint is an asset.
  • Direct experience in large or global project coordination/change management is required; knowledge management and/or experience executing large trainings is an asset.
  • Flexibility and agility in adapting to changing and evolving business requirements and objectives is required.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate information from multiple perspectives to draw accurate conclusions from data is required.
  • Ability and confidence to orally present clearly to different audiences, including senior management, is required.
  • Can communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, as well as effectively translate business needs to technical experts.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical professionals is required.
Language Requirements:
  • Fluency in English both written and oral is required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
