About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Counsel to join our team at Globalization Partners. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and negotiate high-volume contracts and related documents, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Advise the business on contractual rights, obligations, and risks, providing sound legal judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
- Develop and deliver training programs for the Sales team and other internal groups, enhancing their understanding of commercial law and contract management.
- Work closely with our contract management system, maintaining life-cycle requirements, training, and alerting internal clients to key contract dates and actions.
- Analyze and revise contracts to ensure compliance with company policy and regulations, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
- Perform other contract-related activities and projects as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a strong work ethic.
- Conduct corporate, compliance, and legal research, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Assist with other legal tasks as needed, showcasing a team player attitude and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements:
- An active license to practice law, with a strong foundation in commercial law.
- 4-6 years of experience in commercial law, including contract negotiation and administration, with a proven track record of success.
- Previous experience working with global sales teams is highly desirable, as is proficiency in contracts management software.
- Laser-focused attention to detail, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and a strong ability to communicate with various levels of the organization.
- Sound legal judgment, creative problem-solving, and analytical skills, with a high degree of professionalism in a client-service-focused setting.
- Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm to get involved in new areas of law/jurisdictions, with a strong ability to think on your feet, multitask, prioritize, and be proactive.
