We are seeking a highly skilled Media Buyer Senior Specialist to join our team at Alibaba Group. As a key member of our advertising team, you will be responsible for planning and managing impactful multi-channel advertising campaigns that magnify our brand value proposition in both Spain and Italy.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze target demographics and develop media buying strategies that align with our brand positioning and marketing strategies.
- Plan media campaigns and compare and negotiate rates, ad space, and airtime with media outlets, optimizing budgets to maximize ad exposure.
- Optimize plans and budgets according to the best media mix and prepare schedules, adjusting as needed.
- Experiment with new platforms and channels and build long-term relationships with different media in both Spain and Italy.
- Ensure ads are creative and displayed appropriately, monitoring costs and return on investment (ROI).
- Analyze performance data, competitor activities, and make reports.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Media Buyer or similar role; experience in digital media is preferred.
- Familiarity with media-buying, planning, and research.
- Interest in following advertising and media trends.
- Working knowledge of media analytics software (e.g., comScore).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish, Italian, and English is a must; Chinese language skill is a plus but not a prerequisite.
- BSc/BA in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
