Energy Operations Manager Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As an Energy Operations Manager, you will be part of the team responsible for managing the portfolio of the world's largest corporate buyer of renewables. Your primary goal will be to own the assigned portfolio of energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements, ensuring compliance with external regulations, contract obligations, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the assigned portfolio of energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements.
  • Participate in shaping and implementing the EPO programs, including contract management, financial performance, and energy compliance with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and drive execution of initiatives to improve energy operations, seeking to invent and simplify to achieve further scale effect for Amazon's management of its energy portfolio.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on executed renewable energy agreements in designated markets, owning the management of contractual obligations with counterparties.
  • Report and analyze performance in assigned portfolio, identifying impacts to business units and customers.
  • Support the management of the on-boarding process for new contracts with a large number of counterparties, tracking progress and driving for successful completion.
