We are looking for a skilled Systems Infrastructure Specialist to work on our team in Barcelona, Spain.
- This role involves ensuring the daily functionality, performance, and security of our products.
- Collaborate with R&D and Infrastructure teams on infrastructure sizing, provisioning, capacity management, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, issue resolution, diagnosing hardware/networking issues, upgrades, updates, migrations, backups, disaster recovery, implementing process/tool improvements, managing long-term projects, overseeing capacity, costs, and budgets, providing escalation support, and serving as a thought leader, architect, and mentor for junior team members and other teams.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, 3+ years of experience managing, configuring, troubleshooting Linux/Unix systems in large-scale production environments, supporting production applications, experience working in data centers and with enterprise-grade hardware, storage, and networking, strong knowledge of physical computing (CPUs, memory, storage) and hardware troubleshooting, experience with automation - Bash/Python scripting, Chef, virtualization technologies such as VMware, monitoring and DC management tools like OpsView and Device42, network/infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, FTP, NTP, NFS, Mail, and others, project management skills, solid understanding of network security, ability to support audits, hardening, and best practices, and proficiency with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
