Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an M&A Solutions Director. This is a unique opportunity to lead our European business development efforts and drive growth in the renewable energy industry.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading transaction execution, from start to finish, and will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and transaction counterparties. They will also be responsible for European regional leadership of sales and general business development, working closely with the M&A Solutions Director to define business strategy and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Asset Marketplace (AMP) processes, set-up and execution, including internal transaction team and external customer communications.
  • Manage relationships with customers aimed at understanding their needs and setting expectations.
  • Prepare transaction materials: Teaser, Announcement Email, NDA and others as may be required.
  • Coordinate all communications amongst transaction counterparties ensuring a smooth process.
  • Advise customers on transaction strategy based on market insight and transaction experience.

Requirements

  • A degree from an accredited college/university and relevant work experience in the renewable energy industry (5+ years of experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of M&A experience.
  • Demonstrated track record in transaction execution.
  • Relevant experience in business origination. Comfort with cold calling, direct sales, business development and marketing.
  • Experienced in European energy markets. Understanding of energy industry trends, challenges and opportunities.
  • Ability to travel across Europe to attend conferences.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of internal groups.
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities managing different M&A transactions and internal processes at the time.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative in a fast-moving startup environment under limited supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A high level of integrity.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Salesforce and other professional software.
  • Professional fluency in English, other European languages are a plus.
