Job Title: Senior Character ArtistWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Character Artist to join our team at 2K Valencia. As a Senior Character Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality character art assets that meet both artistic and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of character anatomy, weight, and silhouette.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of 3D modeling software, such as 3DS Max and/or Maya, to create high-quality character models.
- Expertly sculpt characters using Zbrush and optimize game assets for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with art leads and external art teams to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Support the Art team in the development of pipelines and style guides.
- Continuously improve your craft through self-guided exploration and collaboration with team members.
- Assist in character concept and design, ensuring that characters meet the project's quality standards.
- Proactively report blockers and request feedback to ensure the project's success.
- 4+ years of experience in the video games industry with 2+ shipped titles as a Character Artist.
- Advanced knowledge of 3D modeling software, such as 3DS Max and/or Maya.
- Expert sculpting skills using Zbrush.
- Robust knowledge of game asset optimization and topology.
- Proven experience with Marvelous Designer and Unreal 5 workflows.
- Basic knowledge of animation, with an eye for posing.
- An extensive portfolio of high and low poly models, including advanced material and rendering samples.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive about troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Capacity to adapt to a demanding workflow, maintaining quality and consistency while meeting objectives.
- Fluent English both in speech and in writing.
