Lead the Way in Renewable Energy Procurement

Siemen Gamesa is a leader in the renewable energy sector, and we are seeking a highly skilled Commodities Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the Office & Factory Supplies Category for the SE&A Region, as well as key Global projects for all OFS Commodities.

As a Commodities Procurement Manager, you will provide Indirect Material and Service Support to our Business Units, working closely with internal customers to ensure customer care and early involvement. You will also be responsible for defining, communicating, and implementing a regional commodity structure & sourcing strategy, identifying and managing procurement risks, opportunities, and market forces, and leading regional tendering, contracting, and supplier activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and implementing a regional commodity structure & sourcing strategy
  • Managing procurement risks, opportunities, and market forces
  • Leading regional tendering, contracting, and supplier activities
  • Coordinating efforts to implement strategic initiatives / programs to drive savings, supply base optimization, cash flow improvement & e-Auctions
  • Generating, documenting, and implementing savings, and planning, monitoring, and reporting on relevant KPI to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Approximately 4 years of relevant working experience in Procurement with successful demonstration of key responsibilities & knowledge
  • Comprehensive experience in commodities such as Factory Supplies
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal business and external collaboration partners/suppliers at senior management level
  • Strong analytical and planning skills; results-driven personality; excellent and experienced negotiation skills in procurement
  • Project Management Skills: ability to self-manage workload, manage multiple projects in parallel, set target dates, meet deadlines, follow processes, deploy a commodity roadmap of projects, and implement projects to achieve optimum results
  • Proficiency in English (C1) both orally and in writing
