Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at ESML SD Iberia Holding S A U. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating software for our new family of products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Software Development: Analyze features scope, functional and system requirements, and develop solutions using C++, IPC communications through DBUS and DDS middleware.
  2. Technical Leadership: Participate in technical decisions, discussions, and tradeoffs, and deliver a technical solution design.
  3. Integration and Optimization: Integrate with Yocto Linux build system, using CMake and systemd as the main tools on the device, and optimize performance, memory, and power of resulting product.
  4. Quality Assurance: Bug fixing and correction of issues, following QA plans and release management.
Requirements
  1. Technical Expertise: 8+ years' experience in C++ development using object-oriented and metaprogramming paradigms, Test Driven Development and unit testing, Clean and Solid principles paradigms, Linux development, services, APIs, and especially on Yocto or other embedded distributions.
  2. Communication Skills: Great knowledge of DBUS and/or other IPC mechanisms, git and gitflow paradigm, and fluency in written English.
  3. Education: Masters or Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT-related background.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Embedded Systems Experience: Experience developing embedded systems on Linux.
  2. Additional Skills: Knowledge of video systems, audio systems, data-driven middlewares, or IoT standards can be a plus.
