About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our platform software team, you will be responsible for driving engineering and business decisions, leveraging technology frameworks, optimization techniques, and high availability services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of features and initiatives across the organization, focusing on firmware development of platform components for upcoming Ring battery-powered devices.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions for our next-generation camera-centric devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software components.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Expertise in professional software development, with a focus on embedded development in C/C++ and experience with full software development life cycle.
  • Strong understanding of architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles, with experience in leading the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
