We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End Engineer to join our Device OS team at Amazon. Key Responsibilities- Contribute to all aspects of an agile software development lifecycle, including design, architecture, development, documentation, testing, and operations.
- Push your design and architecture limits by building and delivering production-quality user experiences.
- Create software components to help Amazon build our smart home devices.
- Work on projects that push the boundaries of customer-device interaction, including product lines such as Echo and Fire TV.
- Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative customer experiences.
- Participate in designing, prototyping, and building solutions to hard problems in the Amazon ecosystem.
You will be a part of an agile development team following innovative best practices in software development. You will write code, work on technical designs and architecture, and interact with product teams to gather requirements, support feasibility analysis, and provide technical solutions.
About the TeamAs a part of the Device OS organization, you will get to interact and work with multiple teams to develop an ecosystem end to end, covering product conception to shipping on the vast number of Amazon devices in the field.
Requirements- Several years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Several years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- Several years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Several years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with React Native, UX, and UI development.
