Job Title: Cloud Systems Developer - C++

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Systems Developer to join our team at OpenNebula Systems. As a key member of our systems development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the core features for virtualization, networking, and storage management in our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop core services of OpenNebula, including virtualization, networking, and storage management.
  • Develop system applications that interface with operating system facilities such as I/O, networking, and virtualization.
  • Design and develop API servers for OpenNebula, including data formats, performance analysis, and tuning to identify bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Test-driven development of large solutions integrating and extending open source products, and using Git based workflows to develop new features in the project repositories.
  • Writing and maintaining software documentation.
  • Participate in the upstream community, contributing to challenging projects that develop innovative edge/cloud systems.
  • Ensure cloud management products align with project and business goals, adhere to best practices, and meet performance requirements.
  • Working with user use cases to test, debug, and troubleshoot software, assuring quality and functionality.
  • Working with other companies in the cloud-edge ecosystem within international projects and open-source communities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud systems development and integration for cloud computing using open-source technologies.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining C++ code base for system applications with knowledge of computing systems integration and the interaction with the operating system facilities like I/O, networking, and virtualization.
  • Experience on developing server applications, as well as analyzing and tuning their performance. Expertise on designing APIs.
  • Experience integrating computing systems especially related to virtualization, storage, and networking.
