Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Valencia office as part of our Data Science Group. The successful candidate will use large data sets to identify opportunities for simulation products, data analytics, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manipulate data sets and build statistical models to drive business solutions.
  • Work with technical teams and customers to identify opportunities for leveraging company data.
  • Mine and analyze data databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development and simulation strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer processes and other business outcomes.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Guide junior members of the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics or computer science.
  • 2 to 4 years post-qualifying experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Coding knowledge and experience with several languages, including C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques, including GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages, such as R, Python, SQL, etc.
  • Experience using web services, including Redshift, S3, Spark, Digital Ocean, etc.
  • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics, including regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
  • Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers, including Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Core metrics, AdWords, Crimson Hexagon, Facebook Insights, etc.
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools, including Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gourbi, MySQL, etc.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using tools, such as Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, etc.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
