About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our global Reporting and Analytics team within Group Investment Management at Zurich Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with business users in different countries to translate analytical and reporting needs into functional requirements and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop Analytical Reports and Dashboards: Utilize business intelligence tools to create advanced analytical reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to our global end-user base.
  2. Business Requirements Analysis: Analyze and translate reporting and analytics business requirements into functional and technical solution specifications.
  3. Lead Business Intelligence Initiatives: Lead and support initiatives and projects related to new or existing business intelligence solutions, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.
  4. Impact Analysis and System Optimization: Perform impact analysis of applications, taking an end-to-end view of the system to identify areas for improvement and optimize existing reporting processes.
  5. End-User Support and Training: Provide comprehensive end-user support and training for global reporting needs, ensuring our stakeholders have the necessary skills to effectively utilize our business intelligence solutions.
  6. Compliance, Governance, and Data Quality: Ensure compliance, governance, and data quality standards are met, maintaining the highest level of integrity in our reporting and analytics processes.
  7. Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage stakeholders, communicating complex business intelligence concepts and solutions to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
  1. Relevant Education and Experience: Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, with 3+ years of proven experience as a business analyst, specifically in the field of business intelligence.
  2. Advanced Data Analytics Skills: Advanced skills in data analytics and data modeling with reporting front-end tools (MS Power BI or similar) are essential.
  3. Cloud Solutions and Coding Skills: Experience with cloud solutions (Databricks, Azure, AWS or similar) and strong coding skills (preferably SQL, Python, Spark) are required.
  4. Business Analyst Skills: Strong business analyst skills, including analytical skills, requirement engineering, design thinking, and agile methodologies, are necessary.
  5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills in written and spoken English.
