Space Systems Engineer for Nanosatellite Missions

About the Job
At Alén Space, we are seeking an experienced Senior AIV Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our nanosatellite missions. The successful candidate will work closely with our AIV team to ensure that all tasks related to the verification of spacecraft compliance with requirements are carried out effectively. This includes integration, final verification, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior AIV Engineer will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities executed by other members of the AIV team. They will also be involved in the evolution of our nanosatellite predefined platforms. Key tasks include:
• Definition of the verification plan since the starting phase of each mission.
• Coordination of the elaboration of AIV procedures and specification of AIV tools and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
• Coordination and tracking of the manufacturing and validation activities.
• Leading environmental test (thermal-vacuum, vibration, etc.) and launch campaigns.
• Support to Product Assurance (non conformance management).
Candidate Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor or Master's degree in engineering or other technical degrees. You should have more than 5 years of experience in AIV positions and knowledge of ECSS standards. Additionally, experience working in clean room and EPA environments is required. Participating in environmental campaigns is also essential. Fluency in English is a must.
Bonus Points
We are looking for candidates with previous experience in Nanosatellite projects. Knowledge of lean manufacturing approaches and experience working with complex subsystems such as ADCS and propulsion would be desirable. Familiarity with using tools and equipment for spacecraft components integration (GSE equipment) and operation and maintenance of TVC or vibration facilities is also beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in an effective manner while cooperating in a potentially international and culturally diverse team are essential. Good analytical, organizational, and reporting skills together with a proactive attitude to solve problems individually and an interest in technology development are required.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of €60,000-€80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, Alén Space provides a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
