At Peekaboo, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Preschool Assistant. This is a part-time role that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and education to our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 3 years.
  • Engage in interactive play activities that promote the seven areas of learning outlined in the EYFS framework.
  • Provide daily care to the children, including feeding, diapering, and ensuring their overall comfort and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support daily routines, transitions, and learning activities.
  • Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with the Lead Teacher to inform activity planning.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to Peekaboo's high standards for health, hygiene, and safety.
  • Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to explore and learn.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children aged 0-3 years is essential.
  • Fluent English; knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
  • A genuine passion for working with infants and toddlers, with the ability to connect with them on their level.
  • A friendly and warm demeanor, with a natural flair for making others feel comfortable and at ease.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to think creatively and provide support wherever needed.
