Backend Senior Developer Ruby on Rails H/F

This position is for our company, Sellsy, in a remote-friendly environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a senior Backend Engineer to join our development team with expertise in backend development and Ruby on Rails framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our current SaaS, as well as contributing to the development of new features.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in backend development, excellent collaboration skills, and a passion for learning and growth.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience (4 years minimum) as a backend developer with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, REST APIs, and other relevant technologies.
  2. Ability to work independently, providing optimal solutions within adequate timeframes.
  3. Full development lifecycle: estimation, technical analysis, and collaboration with other teams to deliver features and improvements.
  4. High standards for quality, clean code, testing, and best practices.
  5. A team player who is open to listening and helping others.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of new features.
  2. Participate in technical discussions and provide expertise to solve complex problems.
  3. Develop and maintain backend tasks using Ruby on Rails.
  4. Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality results.

Backend: Ruby on Rails, Elastic Search, Sidekiq, Redis, MySQL, REST, Tensorflow.

Frontend: JS (ES6+), React, React Native.

Infrastructure: AWS, Nginx, Capistrano, Ansible, Terraform.
