About the Role

At SAP, we are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Cloud Architect & Advisor to join our Enterprise Cloud Services organization in EMEA.

The Cloud Architect Advisor will become the primary point of contact for architecture topics, building a relationship of trust with the customer by closely working with all the other internal SAP teams to design the technological foundations of customers' success on their cloud journey under RISE with SAP.

This is a customer-facing role where you will team up with different SAP teams and other parties along customers' cloud journey under RISE with SAP from the presales on.

The key tasks of this role include presenting the technical requirements and value proposition for SAP private cloud, conducting technical assessment workshops with customers to define the future cloud architecture and plan the migration roadmap together with partners, System Integrators, and/or SAP Professional Services, and guiding customers on non-functional capabilities such as Business Continuity, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Networking, Technical Operations, and service consumption.

You will also support account stakeholders on pricing-related activities and offers creation, providing ongoing deal support to sales teams, and own the technical discussions with the customer along customers' cloud journey under RISE with SAP, orchestrating experts to obtain expertise from the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services delivery organization as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science from an accredited university.
  • High proficiency in customer-level communications and presentations is required.
  • High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions.
  • Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies, etc.).
  • Good understanding of operational aspects (Application and Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
  • Good understanding of the entire platform stacks (storage, virtualization, hardware, networks, etc.).
  • Good understanding of technical capabilities of at least one Hyperscale provider (AWS, MS Azure, or GCP).
  • Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects.
  • Willingness to undertake customer-related travel on short notice.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a MUST, and any other language is an asset.
  • 3+ years of customer-facing SAP Consulting experience.
  • 3+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture, and/or SAP implementation.
  • Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role is an advantage.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance expertise is an advantage.
  • SAP Application Lifecycle Management and/or SAP Operations experience is an advantage.
  • ITSM, Service Design & Delivery experience is an advantage.
  • SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills are an advantage.
