Salary and Benefits

We offer competitive rates for freelance interpreters, with an estimated hourly rate of £25-£35 per hour. This translates to approximately £2,500-£3,500 per month, depending on your availability and work schedule.

Job Description

As a Pashto/Tamil Freelance Interpreter, you will provide accurate video interpreting services to our clients and non or limited English speakers, facilitating communication and exchange of information in medical, social, legal, and other settings.

The role involves working as an independent contractor, choosing your own schedule and workload. You will be responsible for logging into our telephone interpreting app whenever you are available to work, and we will pay you for each minute you complete.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A right to work in your country of residence;
  • About 100 hours of interpreting experience, either professionally or through voluntary work;
  • A valid security clearance/criminal background check;
  • Fluency in English and Pashto/Tamil, which will be assessed through a telephone language test;
  • EU or UK residency.
