About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Cloud Security Engineering team at Google Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Design and implement secure protocols and systems to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including threat models, security architectures, and incident response plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our security posture.

About the Team

Our Cloud Security Engineering team is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of Google Cloud's products and services. We work closely with other teams, including software engineering, product management, and security operations, to identify and mitigate security risks.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud security and threat modeling.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols, threat analysis, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud security platforms, such as Google Cloud Security Command Center, and cloud-based security tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
