SKF's Finance Operations Center is a global organization that supports all SKF units worldwide. We are committed to creating a lean, efficient, and digital finance environment, and we are at the forefront of next-generation business finance.

Purchase to Pay Role

The Purchase to Pay team at SKF in Spain is responsible for providing Accounts Payable (AP) services to most SKF companies in Southern Europe. Our team consists of experienced professionals in Accounts Payable processes, and we work closely with the global process owner for Purchase to Pay. We utilize various systems, with SAP being the primary platform.

Daily Activities for Purchase to Pay Accountant

  • Support business operations within the entire AP process.
  • Monitor and follow up on outsourced AP activities.
  • Ensure the quality of supplier master data from a financial perspective.
  • Follow up and secure timely payments for external and internal suppliers within our scope.
  • Handle payment reminders and communicate with suppliers as a secondary point of contact.
  • Perform ad hoc and monthly analysis of AP processes and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
  • Be responsible for the reconciliation of General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP) accounts.
  • Resolve issues with internal and supplier invoices.
  • Conduct AP closing and reporting activities.
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Implement continuous improvements to align processes across all entities within our scope.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or have equivalent working experience.
  • Have a high level of English proficiency (C1 minimum), with French and/or Italian being desirable.
  • Be curious, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Exhibit a hands-on and team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems is required.

Additional Information

This role is based in Alcobendas, Madrid, and is a local contract within SKF Spain.
