We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Lab Technologist to join our team at DuPont, a leading multinational corporation in the chemical industry. As a key member of our Global Water Technology Center in Tarragona, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of analytical techniques for water analysis and membrane performance.
Key Responsibilities- Water Analysis Expertise: Develop and apply advanced analytical techniques, including ion chromatography, Optical Emission Spectroscopy with induced coupled plasma, and gas and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry, to analyze inorganic and organic constituents in water samples.
- Membrane Performance Monitoring: Support the analytical team in monitoring membrane performance in research and industrial plants, and apply learning and findings to improve membrane deposits and foulants.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the analytical team to ensure seamless laboratory operations, and provide support for daily activities, including pH, conductivity, alkalinity, and other water-related techniques.
- Method Development and Optimization: Prepare and execute Design of Experiments for new method development, and apply statistical tools to evaluate and interpret data.
- Scientific Excellence and Communication: Document and report data generated, and present findings to the wider scientific community.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement changes to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.
- Education: Minimum Vocational Degree in Analysis and Quality Control, Superior Technical Studies, or Bachelor in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or Environmental Sciences.
- Experience: Background in analytical techniques and water treatment technologies is preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multinational environment are essential.
