Principal Experience Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Experience Designer to join our team at Socialpoint. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our games.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to conceptualize, define, and develop features that deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Create user flows, interface wireframes, prototypes, and design documentation.
  • Design and create high-fidelity mock-ups for pre-visualization during pre-production.
  • Develop UI design/layouts and create UI art and visual design for user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with the art team to define and adhere to a thematic art style.
  • Design and create functional animation for user interactions.
  • Prepare assets for implementation in the Unity game engine.
  • Own UX for multiple game feature pods and set examples, guides, and standard methodologies in UI/UX for others in your game team.
  • Participate in critiques, product reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor senior UI/UX staff and collaborate with UI/UX staff from other game teams to share findings and develop standard methodologies across the organization.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in the game development industry specializing in UX, with a proven track record in defining usability challenges, participating in comprehensive research, and validating solutions through testing.
  • Expertise in UX Design principles, graphic design principles, and industry-standard software, including Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficiency in Unity Game Engine and ability to create and implement user interfaces in complex game infrastructure.
  • Ability to create new assets that adhere to an established visual style and further develop that style, ensuring consistency and innovation in design aesthetics.
