About the Opportunity
The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Faculty member to join our rapidly growing program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the clinical care and research of children with central nervous system tumors.
About the Job
- The selected candidate will hold an academic appointment as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Residence in the Adjunct, Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, and In Residence faculty series.
- They will work collaboratively with experienced clinicians and researchers to provide outstanding patient care, participate in clinical trials, and contribute to the development of new treatments for pediatric brain tumors.
- The successful candidate will have opportunities for career advancement, mentorship, and leadership within the department.
Responsibilities
The Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Faculty member will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching, and research in the following areas:
- Clinical attendance in inpatient Neuro-Oncology, Hematology/Oncology, and Pediatric Neurology services.
- Participation in the evolving immunotherapy service for brain tumor patients.
- Caring for patients with CNS tumors in the outpatient setting.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A medical degree and license.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
- Board certification/eligibility in Hematology/Oncology and/or Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology.
Preferred Qualifications
- A robust academic background.
- A keen interest in pursuing a career in clinical or basic research and teaching.
Salary Range
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The exact salary will depend on factors such as education level, years of experience, and other relevant criteria. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
