Transforming the Future of Power Transformers

Hitachi Energy Spain is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Research and Development team in Córdoba. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for proposing and developing new technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell type transformers.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for transformer design and development.
  • Lead and manage R&D projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality results.
  • Maintain and develop technical standards and design tools for transformers.
  • Transfer knowledge and findings through reports, specifications, and educational programs.
  • Assess production processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support factory troubleshooting and develop relationships with stakeholders.
Your Background:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
  • More than 3 years of experience in R&D projects, engineering, or university research.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling software (CATIA, CREO, Solidworks, Solidedge) and advanced numerical simulations (e.g., mechanical simulations).
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish.
