Software Quality Assurance Engineer
At Open It, we're seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify issues and defects, create test plans, execute test cases, and contribute to the overall improvement of our software product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide feedback and ensure quality assurance throughout the development process.
- Conduct thorough and meticulous testing of software applications, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage and accurate documentation of testing activities.
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure software quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to testing processes and methodologies.
- Install, configure, and maintain open-source IT products to support business operations and internal systems.
- Manage and maintain an internal test environment, ensuring it is operational, up-to-date, and capable of supporting various development and testing activities.
- Collaborate with senior team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Windows and Linux server environments.
- Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Monitor system performance, apply updates, and ensure the security and stability of internal systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester, with knowledge of testing methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot test) is a plus.
- Familiarity with various OS (Windows, Unix, Linux) and deployment environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced environments both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A strong willingness to learn new technologies and work in a cross-platform environment.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, or similar platforms.
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
- Basic scripting skills using PowerShell for Windows and Bash or Python for Linux, with the ability to automate routine tasks and support system management.
- Foundational knowledge in Windows and Linux server administration, including system monitoring, user management, and security practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB)
- Exposure to performance testing and load testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
