We are looking for a seasoned data engineer to lead our team in the development of cutting-edge data solutions.

  • Location: Barcelona (Sant Cugat del Vallès)
Data Governance Leadership

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing data governance policies, including cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and security.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and the reliability of organizational data assets.
Scalable Architecture Design

The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable, maintainable, and efficient data architectures, future-proofing the infrastructure to handle increasing data volume and complexity.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather data requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration

The chosen candidate will partner with business, data science, marketing, and other teams to provide transparency on project progress and deliver impactful data solutions.

  • Use insights to inform the design and optimization of data pipelines and models.
Data Exploration & Optimization

The selected candidate will participate in exploratory data analysis to detect patterns, anomalies, and opportunities, applying DevOps principles to data pipelines.

  • Set high engineering standards and mentor team members.
Technical Leadership & Best Practices

The leader will drive adoption of best practices in data engineering, CI/CD, automated testing, and proactive monitoring.

  • Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience within technical teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in high-scale or distributed environments.
  • Proven expertise in data technologies such as Spark, Airflow, DBT, Kafka, Snowflake, and/or Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience applying DevOps principles to data pipelines: CI/CD, version control, monitoring, and testing.
  • Strong ability to design and implement data models for analytics, BI, and machine learning applications.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), especially data-related services.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
