About The RoleDNV's Market & Transaction team is looking for a Senior Consultant specialized in electricity markets. DNV is undergoing a strong expansion in power price forecasting throughout Europe and is looking to reinforce its current Advisory team with headquarters in Madrid.
Responsibilities- Conduct Electricity Market Analysis: Analyze electricity market trends and conduct comprehensive energy market studies, including expansion plans and commodities analysis. Perform scenario analysis (climate impact, electric vehicle adoption, distributed generation, and self-consumption), and stay updated on regulatory changes and technological advancements.
- Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and opportunities within the energy sector, particularly in energy markets and low carbon technology studies. Provide insights and guidance to help clients navigate the complexities of the energy landscape, especially in the electricity markets space (wholesale markets, capacity markets, ancillary service markets).
- Collaborate with the Modeling & Analytics Team: Work closely with the modeling team to structure ad-hoc electricity market problems into quantifiable analyses and deliver integrated solutions that address clients' strategic and operational needs.
- Lead Client Engagements: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business opportunities. Lead client engagements with a focus on delivering exceptional value and fostering long-term partnerships.
