Project Director

The Project Director will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that involve multiple stakeholders. This role requires leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the expected quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess opportunities for throughput improvement to optimize business planning process efficiency.
  • Supervise and monitor the progress of all the projects within the manufacturing network.
  • Lead the governance and framework of divisional and LT meetings/Workshops.
  • Enable internal interconnection between PE Ops strategy team members and other internal members.

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, define roles and responsibilities, and manage the day-to-day operations of the project.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Oversee the project budget, track expenses, and ensure that the project stays within financial limits.
  • Secure and manage the necessary resources, including internal team members and external vendors.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve problems as they arise to keep the project on track.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring team members are motivated and focused on project goals.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and are completed according to the agreed-upon specifications.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership, documenting progress, risks, issues, and key decisions made.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
  • Agile and pro-active relationship management in a multi-matrix organization.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, including simplifying the complex, making the message/request clear, providing options/proposals, and focusing on the purpose and outcome.
  • Good command of French and English, written and verbal.
