Job Title: Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Remote

About the Company: Dow Jones is a leading global provider of financial news and information.

About the Team: Our AI Engineering Team is responsible for developing and maintaining machine learning models and infrastructure.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain machine learning pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine learning models into various AI/ML pipelines.
  • Implement optimized data storage and indexing systems for NLP.
  • Develop tools and frameworks for model training, tuning, and evaluation.
  • Partner with data scientists to integrate models into production.
  • Monitor and improve model performance.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot issues.
  • Build and maintain data processing pipelines for high volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all ML infrastructure and support processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
  • At least 5 years of industrial experience in a machine learning engineering, data science, or data engineering role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or another high-level language commonly used in machine learning.
  • Experience with NLP and Machine Learning frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience in developing and managing NLP-focused data infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in vector storage, indexing, and graph database technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
