Job DescriptionThis is a unique opportunity to join Ebury's Technology team and shape the company's Android Mobile app from its inception.
As an early-stage project, you'll have the chance to craft a ground-breaking mobile experience with genuine ownership, building Ebury's mobile presence from its foundation.
You'll work with industry-standard tools and technologies, and help us define what great looks like for our mobile apps.
As a Mobile engineer, you'll work in a small, autonomous product squad alongside Backend Engineers, API Engineers, Product Designers, and Product Managers.
You'll report to an engineering manager who will meet with you every week for a 1:1; their mission is to help you develop and grow.
Responsibilities- Support the overall company and Digital goals.
- Impact both what we build and how we build it.
- Ownership of the existing Android app code base, with autonomy to improve what's already there.
- Management and coaching of a junior developer.
- Collaborate across disciplines to test hypotheses and make a difference to customers through the delivery and iteration of new app functionality and experiences.
- Stay up to speed on the latest mobile development practices, tools, and frameworks.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Experience using Combine architecture.
- Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
- Understanding of Google's Android design principles.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
