As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the execution of projects at Cigar Lake, ensuring that our goals and objectives are met. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and quality execution of projects to achieve company goals and business objectives
- Lead, oversee, and directly manage projects that may include construction of earthworks, pipelines, and pumping stations for ground freezing, construction of underground mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation infrastructure to support mining, and other projects as needed to support Cameco's objectives
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, operations, team members, and other key stakeholders
- Work with subject matter experts and ensure appropriate utilization to bring value and innovation to projects
- Ensure that project risks are adequately identified, addressed, and communicated to the leadership team
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of combined work experience in progressive project management roles in a mining or heavy industrial setting
- Experience in executing all stages of the project lifecycle (i.e. initiation, planning and estimating, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, monitoring & controlling, etc.) to deliver green- and brownfield industrial projects
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
- Ability to think creatively, facilitate solutions, and achieve results
- Thrive in a dynamic environment, build trust, and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of personnel
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, trade certification, and/or professional engineering designation, or the ability to obtain the relevant certification
- Experience with modern digital project tools and LEAN methodologies
