Job Summary:
Limagrain Europe is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing and Operations Manager to lead our operations in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily production operations, managing local subcontractors, and implementing the annual agronomic production plan to meet quantity, lead-time, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Operations Management: Supervise daily production operations, from planning to shipment, to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with Supply Chain and Plant managers to plan, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics to optimize production and minimize costs.
- Process Optimization: Manage local subcontractors and optimize processes to maximize production and minimize costs.
- Agronomic Production Planning: Develop and implement the annual agronomic production plan to meet quantity, lead-time, and cost objectives.
- Financial Management: Prepare and monitor the local operations budget (Opex and Capex).
- Regulatory Compliance: Represent the company in the Spanish Seed Association (ANOVE) for all regulatory matters.
- Team Leadership: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety with a team of 26 people (direct & indirect reports).
Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in agriculture/agronomy and at least 10 years of professional experience, with more than 5 years in seed production. You should demonstrate leadership, project management, and change management skills, as well as excellent organizational, communication, and management skills. Experience in developing budgets and business plans is key. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with a willingness to travel frequently within Spain.
