Job Summary

UNOPS Peace And Security Cluster is seeking a highly skilled ICT Systems Infrastructure Specialist to support the operations of the IT infrastructure at the UN ICT Facility in Valencia, Spain. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the UNOPS Information Systems Officer and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure, providing technical support and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with UNOPS standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, including storage arrays, backup storage arrays, servers, SAN switches, virtualization, operating system, and cloud services.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of the IT infrastructure and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with UNOPS standards and procedures for IT infrastructure management.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of IT infrastructure with other systems and services.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a UN or international organization.
  • Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of storage arrays, backup storage arrays, servers, SAN switches, virtualization, operating system, and cloud services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
