Job Overview

KBR, a leading provider of operational support services to the US military, is seeking a highly skilled Library Assistant to join our team at Morón Air Base in Spain.

About the Role

The Library Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patrons, assisting with various tasks such as problem-solving, literacy, job skills, and technology support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Publicize and implement Air Force Library programs
  • Operate and maintain the Base Library in accordance with AFIs, USAFE Instructions, and standard American library service practices
  • Maintain inventory of books and other media formats to satisfy the educational, informational, cultural, and leisure needs of customers
  • Accomplish required reports to USAFE/A1KEL and/or U.S. Government representative using MS Office programs
  • Prepare an annual Supplemental Library Annual Report (SLAR)

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma/GED
  • English language proficiency at Level III (Speak, read, write, understand English)
  • Experience working with books and community programs
