Job Title: Research Analyst in Energy

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join our Data & Researcher Services team at Boston Consulting Group. As a Research Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing secondary research in support of proposals, client cases, and business or IP development initiatives, with a focus on Energy related topics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing Topic Knowledge and Industry Expertise: You will manage various research requests with high-level accuracy and organization, primarily on a key topic you have a strong interest in.
  • Understanding Request Objectives: You will be required to understand request objectives focused on Energy and proactively suggest the most appropriate and efficient research approach to senior DRS team members and customers, as appropriate.
  • Evaluating Source Quality and Data Accuracy: You will evaluate our source quality and data accuracy, and proactively help to identify and raise research-related issues.
  • Customer and Team Orientation: You will engage in thought partnership with consulting teams and knowledge teams to understand, scope, and deliver accurate, timely, and relevant data and information.
  • Utilization and Development of Tools and Technology: You will be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and will develop tools, resources, and trainings within Energy sources.
Requirements:
  • Years of Experience: 2+ years of relevant working experience in Energy topics, especially in power and utilities.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree with a strong preference for business, economics, engineering, and sciences.
  • Language Skills: Excellent English, fluent Spanish. Additional European languages are valued (particularly German).
