Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Privacy Specialist to join our team at Mygwork. As a key member of our Global Privacy Office, you will play a crucial role in advising the organization on privacy matters and developing creative and pragmatic solutions to enable the business to grow and develop in its innovative use of data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Guidance on Global Data Protection Laws: Offer expert advice to the business on global data protection laws, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance across the organization.
- Identify Privacy-Related Issues: Recognize and address privacy-related issues while conducting assessments and identify creative and compliant solutions to enable the business to grow and develop its use of data.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other members of the Privacy team, Legal, IT, Information Security, and Data Retention to ensure Privacy is integrated into business processes and systems.
- Educate and Train Employees: Educate and train employees on data protection and privacy policies and procedures.
- Communicate with Clients: Communicate directly with clients where they have questions about our Privacy Program.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Global Privacy Landscape: Continuously learn about changes to the global privacy landscape and advise on their impact on the business.
Requirements:
- Education and Knowledge: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. IAPP (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) qualifications desirable.
- Proficient in Business English: Excellent working knowledge of applying global privacy laws, regulations, and standards in the context of a large multinational company.
- Professional Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate sophisticated legal issues and training to business colleagues.
- Interpersonal Relationship Skills: Strong interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to create and maintain positive working relationships within a large and complex environment.
- Comfortable Collaborating with IT and Risk Colleagues: Comfortable collaborating with IT and Risk colleagues, including Information Security professionals, as part of due diligence processes.
- Experience Conducting Privacy Audits: Experience conducting both privacy audits and working with auditors and responding to privacy-related questions.
