**Job Overview**
We are seeking a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our QA team, part of the Product area. Based in Spain, you will be responsible for delivering our product roadmap and ensuring a rock-solid retail solution by acting as a domain expert to guarantee customer success.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Participate in the design of new test cases to cover new developments of the Openbravo Retail product.
2. Maintain the existing test suite and collaborate on keeping the documentation of the test plan suite for the Openbravo Retail product up-to-date.
3. Properly manage departmental knowledge, favoring the re-use of existing information.
4. Apply established methodologies within the QA team.
5. Refine and improve our quality procedures by reviewing current contents and proposing innovations.
**Requirements**
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Telecommunications.
2. Knowledge of the basics of Quality Assurance (functional testing, defect reporting, development lifecycle).
3. Previous experience in a similar position is a must.
4. Retail business software applications related experience is a plus.
5. Good written and oral communication skills in English are a must. French is a valuable plus.
6. Knowledge of software development with the following technologies is a valuable plus:
* Javascript and/or any of the React framework for front-end web application development.
* Test automation in Cypress and/or in any other automation software.
* Programming concepts including MVC architecture.
* SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL.
* GNU/Linux.
* XML and HTML.
7. Knowledge of agile, in particular, Scrum, is a plus.
8. ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
9. Analytical thinking & detail-oriented.
10. Ability to learn fast under pressure in a dynamic environment.
11. Proven ability to meet/exceed deadlines.
12. Initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
